How Long Do Lice Live?
Several times a day I’m asked “how long do lice live?”. I confidently answer this question for my clients. You see, I get to play with these bugs all day! Now, don’t take that the wrong way, but science has always been very fascinating to me.
Now back to your question- head lice live up to 30 days ON a human host. In this situation, the head louse has warmth and food. When head lice are NOT on a host, they can stay alive for 48 hours. I test them regularly and if that timeframe ever changes, I will update you here!! I hope that helps ease your minds!
